Tree, Shrub, & Brush

Through our partnership with Oak Creek Forestry, we offer full-service brush removal, mulching, and follow-up herbicide treatments to stop regrowth.

Before Service

Residential/Lawn Spraying – If you won’t be home when the service is performed, please make sure pets are locked inside and gates are unlocked.  Prior to our arrival, please clean up any dog waste, dog bones, dog toys, and/or kid toys from the service area.  
Range and Pasture Spraying – Make sure all gates are how you wish them to be, at WeedSlayer we go by a “leave it as you found it” motto with gates. If the herbicide we intend to use requires removal of livestock, you will be notified at least 2 weeks prior to application. 

After Service

Once complete, please keep yourself, kids, and any pets off of the treated areas until they are completely dry – typically 1 to 2 hours.  Most annual weeds will show signs of treatment within a day or so but tougher to control species like perennial weeds will take longer.

Warning/Warranty

Please do not disturb or relocate the soil surface (grading, scraping, etc.) after treatment. Doing so will reduce the effectiveness of the treatment and void the conditional residential weed control warranty.

Recommended After

Pre-emergent (preventative) herbicides need water to be incorporated into the soil profile to be effective.  For optimal results, if it doesn’t rain within a few days of your treatment, we recommend spraying water over the landscape. However, we still guarantee our services for six months if you don’t dampen the area.

Total Vegetation Guarantee

For our total vegetation control service, we stand by a 6 month guarantee on our service and products. This guarantee can be voided by intentional disturbance (listed above) after application, or by extreme acts of God (ie: flooding that would carry soil away).

Full Lawn Care Service

Fertilizer keeps your lawn fed by providing the nutrients it needs to grow happily, and it creates a thicker, greener lawn. We use slow release granular fertilizers to make sure your lawn is fed well between applications. A well fertilized lawn slows the pressure of weeds and other lawn diseases. 

Our fertilizer program consists of 4-5 lawn treatments over the season depending on when we get the first treatment done.

Weed control along with fertilizer is important to making your lawn as healthy as possible. Herbicides are generally applied twice per year to keep lawn weeds at bay. 

Treatments

Early Spring – The first application generally consists of both fertilizer and a herbicide application to kick start your lawn for the summer.
Summertime – Fertilizer will be applied every 6-8 weeks throughout the summer to keep your lawn fed and full of nutrients.
Late Summer/Fall – The last application for the season will once again consist of both fertilizer and herbicides to help your lawn over winter with feed and getting a head start on weeds for the next spring. 

Water

The main thing to keeping your lawn healthy is water. Make sure to give your lawn at least .25-.5″ (1/4″-1/2″) of water per week, especially in later summer when temperatures rise and rainfall lessens.

Rodent Management

Don’t let our name fool you, we do more than just spraying weeds; we offer prairie dog management as well. Whether you have thousands of acres of prairie dogs to control or just a few dogs invading, we can help! Most available poisons have a short time-frame that they can be legally applied, so call us today to get on the list!

Before Service

Livestock are not allowed to be in the pastures while poisoning or for a short time after poisoning completion. We will be in touch at least 2-3 weeks in advance of treatments to give you enough time to make arrangements for moving livestock out of proposed areas. 

After Service

We will monitor towns after poisoning to ensure prairie dogs are dying and to put dead dogs down holes if they die on the surface. We ask if you are in treated areas and see dead prairie dogs to do the same to limit scavenging on poisoned prairie dogs.
